  Veterinary

This is a four year course, which equips the student with the knowledge and clinical skills to practice veterinary medicine. In the first two years, the course focuses on the biological sciences that underlie the scientific basis of veterinary medicine. In the last two years it concentrates on pathology, clinical medicine and management. Here, the student follows courses in animal pathology, surgery, clinical medicine, husbandry, and nutrition.

The list provided below is indicative of the subjects that will be covered in the course. Subjects may be added, detracted, or restructured as required from time to time.

Education

This is a four year course which allows students to pursue a major either in science or arts. Most of the units in the Science major program consist of maths, physics, biology, and chemistry subjects. The major in Arts concentrates on subjects related to geography, history, and languages. Subjects on the theory and practice of education are requirements for both majors. There are also subjects such as Introduction to Accounting and Business Studies which may have nothing to do with education in the traditional sense, but are absolutely essential tools for the graduates to put to use their knowledge in the private sector.

On completion of the course graduates will be able to:
  1. Teach either science or social and language subjects in primary and secondary schools
  2. Plan, prepare and deliver lesson across subjects in his or her major
  3. Assess, record and report student achievements
  4. Information technology confidently in the preparation and delivery lessons
  5. Have full understanding of the theory, practice and policies of education

The sequence and combination of subjects in each major may also vary from time to time in response to needs, chanllenges, opportunities and advances in knowledge and technology.

Business and Finance

This is a four year course which covers a wide range of business related subjects, focusing especially on the key areas of management, marketing and accounting. The course is structured in a way which will equip the students to take management and marketing positions, set up their own companies, or offer professional services as consultants and accountants on graduation.

The program will cover the following subjects. This is, however, subject to change. Courses may be dropped, others may be added, restructured, renamed or provided in sequence from introductory to advanced levels as may be required from to time.
